New Mexico Court Reporter
Certification Information

To become a New Mexico Certified Court Reporter, court reporters must pass the Registered Professional Reporter examination given by the National Court Reporters Association. No other state or national certifications are accepted.

If a reporter already possesses the RPR certification, the reporter may apply for a waiver of examination by clicking on the "Authority to Release" document below and filling it out. You will be required to upload it later. You will also need a copy of your RPR certificate or a printout from NCRA proving your RPR certification to upload.

To begin your application, enter your email address in the box below and follow the prompts. Once your application is submitted, check your email for information. Be sure and check your spam folder, as your invoice will be automatically generated by our website.

The first-time application fee is $300.46, which includes the fee for a background check. If the Certified Court Reporter Certification is granted by the Board Governing the Recording of Judicial Proceedings, each year thereafter, subject to change, there is a $130 renewal fee. Renewals are due Dec. 31st of each year.

Please see Rule 22-201 under the "Rules" tab on this website.
